EU R&I Days - ASEAN 2021: [ITALY] Climate Change and Emerging Diseases
Italy has been active in climate change science for some time through the universities, research agencies and specialized research centres like CMCC and AlmaClimate. We are very much aware of the range of disciplines and expertise that are needed for tackling climate change, understand its mechanisms, model and simulate its behaviour and provide information for decision-making that is timely, honest and accurate. We understand very well the central role that the Indo-Pacific region plays in the determination of global climate change, including the Mediterranean through teleconnections processes. The session will offer an overview of climate science excellence in Italy and of the opportunities for training at graduate and undergraduate level.
